Our New High Point University Student!

2/25/06 We made a visit to HPU today, and Britt has decided that it is THE school for her! She reports for freshman orientation on August 19. Whatever will I do without her?!?! Thank goodness she'll only be a 5 hour drive away! Barkley is bummed that his favorite sister is leaving, but he is thrilled that his stitches were removed last Thursday, and he is healing quickly. That is 7-weeks of hair on him (he is usually groomed every 4 weeks)! Posted by Picasa

The New Barkley Uncovered!

2/28/06 Now that Barkley is healing, he visited the "puppy spa" today! I think he lost about 5 lbs. of hair! Isn't he just too cute?!?! Posted by Picasa

House for Sale

Not ours... but our friends/neighbors across the street are relocating and their house is going up for sale next week. It's going to be awful to lose them, but they've reassured us that they will let prospective owners know that our kids convey with their house. So, if you know anyone who might be interested, let me know! (I'd kind of like the new owners to have a couple of middle/high school age girls to be friends for Brianna & Zoe -- we are lacking in that age girls in our neighborhood.) Posted by Picasa

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church's Annual Beer Tasting

2/18/06 Dirk and I attended our church's annual beer tasting with some of our friends/neighbors (L. to R. standing: Robyn, Liz, Adam, me and Dirk -- L. to R. seated: Kipsy and Bill). It was great fun, but Adam felt Dirk and I were "lightweights" and presented us with baby bottles (full of beer, of course). Posted by Picasa

Beer Tasting Cup Building Contest

Every table built cup towers with their empty cups. We didn't win, but we had fun putting it together (and drinking the beer in order to get the empty cups)! Posted by Picasa

Yeah -- Another One!!

2/16/06 Well, Britt's options are growing! We'll be making a trip to High Point (the furniture capital of the world) to visit. Must make a decision by May 1!! It'll be a great place for her to be since she's interested in interior design. Way to go Britt! Posted by Picasa

Poor Barkley!

On Monday, January 30, Zoe was walking Barkley when a neighbor's german shepherd decided to have Barkley as a snack. He had to undergo surgery that afternoon, but I won't share with you the yucky pictures of his belly. This is Barkley completely drugged after his surgery. Posted by Picasa

The Big Girls to the Rescue!

Britt and Erin were so helpful during our day of crisis! Not only did they get Barkley to the vet after the incident (I was at the gym and had to meet them there), they made dinner that night (hmmm... taco night)! I'm a lucky Mom! Posted by Picasa

Barkley's (?) New Crate

Because Barkley was put on "bedrest" (confined to his crate) for 2 weeks, we borrowed a bigger crate from our neighbor. Alexander tried it out to make sure it would be acceptable for Barkley. Posted by Picasa

Barkley on the mend...

2/10/06 This is Barkley's new cone. He figured out how to get around the soft cone in order to lick his wounds. Please keep Barkley in your prayers. We'll find out soon if he needs to undergo surgery again! Posted by Picasa
