7/22/07 Dirk and I spent our anniversary weekend at Virginia Beach with our good friends Liz & Adam. Of course we forgot to take any pictures, so here are some pictures from when our 3 big kids visited Liz & Adam in March.

7/23/07 Erin named the deer who has been hanging out in our yard Isabella. It appears she has been hiding a couple of kids. Here they are running through our yard!

Paint Your Heart Out

 

7/20/07 Brianna, Zoe, Britt and I spent a relaxing afternoon at Paint Your Heart Out in Occoquan. I painted a soy sauce bottle; Britt painted an olive oil jar; Brianna painted a picture frame, and Zoe painted a box shaped as flip-flops. Our finished projects will be ready in a few more days -- stay tuned!

Happy July Birthdays

7/17/07 We had a family dinner with a few friends to celebrate Alexander's 17th and Brianna's 16th birthdays! The cheesecake is Brianna's cake, and the chocolate covered strawberries make up Alexander's birthday "cake"!

 

We celebrated with the birthday kids' favorite foods -- sushi, steamed shrimp, yakisoba (prepared by Grandma Sawin), fruit salad and a bunch of other yummies!

 

Brianna was thrilled with all of her presents!

 

Looks like Alexander was pretty happy with his presents as well! Is that a bit of a smile???

 

Our latest addition

7/17/07 This deer has been hanging out in our backyard lately eating out of the feed bowls. This is the first time I've seen her venture to the really open feed area -- she usually sticks to the bowls in the trees. Isn't she pretty?!?!

Happy 4th of July!

7/4/07 Our 4th of July Celebration took a couple of days... We started on Saturday, June 30, with a picnic and fireworks at Ft. Ritchie, MD. Today we started the day at the Dale City 4th of July Parade. Brianna marched in the parade with the GFHS Marching Band. Afterward we went to a picnic at our pool, and we ended the day at the Potomac Nationals Baseball Game & Fireworks! This is the cake Erin made for the picnic at the pool. It was delicious!
