1st Home School Field Trip

2/27/08 Now that I am home schooling Zoe, we have way more time and flexibility for field trips! Our 1st one was to Arlington National Cemetery where we both learned a lot! The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers was very impressive!

2008 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

 

1/26/2008 The Great Start Party kicks off the 2008 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer! Dirk, Erin and I went to see what kind of new ideas they might have for fundraising this year. We also found out that the opening and closing ceremonies this year will not be at the Kennedy Center. It's being held near the Washington Convention Center. We still have lots of fundraising and training to do!

ZTA Mother Daughter Tea Party

 

2/2/2008 Brittany's sorority hosted a mother daughter tea party during Parents' Weekend. It was held in their lounge, and Britt did a great job of putting this event together, starting with gorgeous invitations, beautiful menus, delicious and pretty food, and ending with adorable chocolate gifts for all of the moms! It was a wonderful event!
