Father Mark's Last Week @ SEAS

Sunday was Fr. Mark's last Sunday Mass at SEAS. He's leaving to be pastor of a church in Reston. The girls and I caught up with him after daily mass yesterday for a quick photo! We'll miss you Fr. Mark!

Happy Birthday Kate!

6/22/08 We surprised my boss, The Rev. Kate Chipps, with flowers and birthday cake after the Sunday service. It was great fun, especially since she was truly surprised! Everyone enjoyed cake from the new Wegmans - yummy!

Grandma's Playpen

These are some flowers my mom is growing in her "playpen." That's our nickname for the lower part of our yard that Dirk converted into planting areas for her to grow things. Besides flower she is growing snowpeas, asparagus, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, basil, mint, chives, onions and other stuff I do not recognize. It's great having someone with a green thumb in the family!

Flower arrangement by ME!

I made a flower arrangement for my boss's birthday. Her favorite color is blue. Anyway, I'm very proud of this, and my mom even let me cut some of the hydrangeas from the yard to add to the arrangement. Too pretty!

Happy Father's Day 2008!

6/15/08 We celebrated Father's Day by spending the afternoon at the pool followed by cooking dinner on the grill and presents for our fearless Father figure! Dirk enjoyed his relaxing day, the yummy food and his presents. Alexander is trying to enjoy his dessert without Barkley getting it...
