Happy Birthday Alexander & Brianna!

7/3/09 Yes, it is 2 weeks before the kids' birthdays but we celebrated early since the week of their birthdays we are all running in different directions. Cannot believe Alexander will be 19 and Brianna will be 18!!! [And yes, the kids made 3 1/2 pounds of guacamole!]

Learning to make pasta

5/10/09 For Mother's Day the kids gave me the pasta maker attachment for my kitchen aid mixer. Britt taught us how to make pasta from scratch. It was fun and yummy!

Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 2009

5/2/2009 Day 1 of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Washington DC. We walked 13.1 miles (1/2 of a marathon). Luckily it didn't rain.

5/3/2009 Day 2 of the Walk. Unluckily, it did rain -- a lot! 13.1 miles in the pouring rain for 5 1/2 hours! The best part is that we are all still speaking to each other!!

Alexander is a now Hokie!

Alexander is transferring to Virginia Tech this fall! We are all very excited and very proud of him! I'm sure Britt will miss having her brother around at school, but HPU and VT are only a couple of hours from each other...

Happy Birthday Dirk!

4/26/09 We celebrated Dirk's birthday a couple of days early! Grandma Sawin and Andrea came over and joined us for a birthday dinner. I must say that it was pretty delicious! Not being much of a cake eater, we got eclairs instead - yum!!!
